I took some basic photos photos of a piece I did a little while back. This little guy was made from a white pottery clay, kiln-fired, painted with various glazes, then re-fired. He’s one of a kind, and one of my personal favorites.
The photo-taking process was relatively simple. I set the sculpted piece on an angled, propped-up piece of white printer paper, and used a clamp-on light to provide the type of lighting I wanted. (The light pictured is actually my pet tortoise’s heat lamp, since it was the closest clamp-on fixture available.) This is a very quick and easy method for anyone who wants to display a particular item without any distracting background items.
